Let’s Clear Things Out

Teka lang, teka lang, medyo naaalarma na din ako.

I received an overwhelming number of feedbacks, comments and messages over Facebook, Twitter and this blog dahil daw palagi akong ONLINE.

Not that it’s a concern for me but they seem to think that I prioritize the internet over my studies and other personal activities. So let me clear things out.

Don’t get bothered by my frequent (can you call this ‘frequent’?) online sessions and please, don’t worry, I am not prioritizing it over my studies.

So why am I always online, anyway?

First, let me remind you that I am an Advertising and Public Relations student. We won’t be active in class just by reading textbooks. We need to get updated on the latest trends of advertising (a great chunk of it is on the internet, di nyo ba halata? :)).

Second, as an Advertising and Public Relations student, we work much on multimedia. We do not paint in class anymore or cut letters on colored papers. Photoshop and Adobe Premiere na ang uso ngayon, guys. :)

Third, attending business school means that we have to know the latest on the market, we don’t have Bloomberg at home kaya sa Internet ko lang sya malalaman, ok?

Fourth, I have a mom who works abroad. We always chat. Isa pa, Voice Chat on YM is way cheaper than conversations on the phone. Mas convenient pa diba?

Fifth, I have a blog, how else would you know what I’m up to?

Sixth, I’m a teenager, please, spare me the agony. :) And unlike other teenagers out there, hindi lamang po Youtube, Limewire and Facebook ang inaatupag ko sa internet.  How else would I win a Palanca last year if I didn’t go online? How else would I reach Anawangin, Capones and Nagsasa if I don’t read travel blogs? How else would I know a lot if I didn’t browse Wikipedia? And how else would you guys know me if I don’t spend much time on the internet? There is so much on the internet than what school or the mall can offer. Let’s not forget that. :)

So there it is, with those reasons, maiisip mo pa ba’ng pinapabayaan ko ang pag-aaral at personal life ko? Kaya kay Kuya Ax and Kuya Ton, ‘wag na kayo magtaka kung mabilis pa sa alas kwatro ang replies ko sa Facebook. :)

Oh and one more thing, when I’m not online, I’m asleep. Yan naman ang offline life ko. :))

        Wala ka dapat i-explain. Buhay mo yan, sariling mundo kumbaga. Are you disturbing them ba? Bina-buzz mo ba sila? Kinukulit mo ba? Kung hindi naman, walang problema dun. lol. I-enjoy mo lang ang opportunities, i-enjoy mo lang yung buhay teenager, i-enjoy mo lang kung saan ka masaya. Kung pwede nga lang siguro na kahit tulog mago-online pa rin at mag-online sa panaginip, siguro ginawa ko na rin. Lahat gawin mo basta wala lang may maapektuhan na tao.
