I have this very weird theory na after kong sabihin sa kapatid ko ay tumawa sya bigla. Alam niyo ba why the Philippines is so full of garbage? That our drainage systems are clogged with little pieces of plastic?

Blame it to our ancestors. Masyado nila tayo sinanay sa tingi-tingi scheme when we buy goods kaya most of the products sold in the country have tingi varieties.

You don’t have to believe in everything I say. I talk shit. Haha!

But some brilliant mind told me about another theory.

While Jill and I were at Wham waiting for the movie, I went to the counter to ask for a straw on my drink, then, I saw Jill saying something from her seat. When I got back to the table, she said that I shouldn’t use straw from now on.

Then I asked why. For example, you use a straw, then the service crew throws it away after you used it for barely an hour. See? Imagine kung ilang toneladang straw ang naitatapon araw-araw when you could’ve just used your mouth? Hindi ka naman nagli-lipstick, right?

Jill had a point. So I took the straw out of my glass.

You should write a post on your blog about that.

Eto na, eto na.

So nung pauwi na kami, she introduced me into this delicious shake na may pudding (na tinawag kong taho). She took a straw and started sipping.

Kukutsarahin? Haha. So may exemption ang no-straw policy. Sana kayo rin, avoid using straw on regular drinks (and go large na din. LOL). If you can, wag na din sa shake. Dilaan nyo nalang. We should start caring for Mother Nature!

Anyway, it’s November 5 and d’you know what day it is today? It’s the birthday of my two multi-lingual friends.

So to Jill Nunez who speaks French,

Joyeux Anniversaire à vous mon cher ami!

and to Reniel Maximo who speaks Deutsch,

alles Gute zum Geburtstag!!!!

Having these two people as my closest friends are a privilege. These two people introduced me to a lot of new and grand things. I learn a lot from them and I hope they do so from me too.

Happy Birthday guys!
