I should’ve done it ages ago, excited na excited akong bumoto kaya I told myself once that I will register for the elections as soon as I can.

May nakakilala sakin sa City Hall kaya sinundan ako ng mag paparazzi. LOL

Pero isa lang masasabi ko, too much Facebook leads to extreme procrastination. Haha!

I registered last week and I’m so relieved it didn’t take me ages to finish. Voting for the elections is a privilege for me because aside from getting the chance to choose a leader, pwede na rin akong magreklamo kapag natalo ang binoto ko.

“Ayan! Binoto boto nyo pa kasi yan! Kung si ______ lang sana binoto nyo edi mas ok!”

Haha! Kidding.

Since tomorrow is the deadline, why don’t you go register before it all comes to an end? It’s as easy as signing up to your Facebook accounts, promise.

Although hindi ko lang alam sa QC if kasing dali lang ng San Juan City. Alam nyo naman kung gaano kalaki at gaano kadami ang population ng QC.

A simple tip though, if you’re 18yo, don’t forget to bring your birth certificate as proof that you’re really 18 and not just some nuisance voter, okay? That happened to me, the election officer didn’t ask about my age (I’m 19) and thought that I was still 18 so he asked for my birth certificate. Akala ko naman requisite talaga yun for first time voters. Buti someone helped me out.

Share ko lang din tong nakakatawang pangyayari:

I was on queue for the biometrics and photo thing sa election (yung last step) when the officer interviewed the man before me.

Officer: ‘San po kayo sa Iloilo? (he was interviewing registrants while taking their biometrics scan and picture)

Man: Sa Jaro.

(Officer searches for “Jaro” on Iloilo’s list of towns and finds nothing)

Officer: Ano po’ng bayan ang Jaro?

Man: (thinks) umhh…. sa Jaro, Iloilo.

Officer: (searches for Jaro again) I mean anong bayan?

Man: umh… sa i-forgot-what-it-was Ementary School ako galing talaga. (i smirk here)

Officer: Ano po’ng bayan???

This is the time that I butt in.

Me: Umh, excuse me kuya, yung Jaro po ay nasa Ilo—-

Officer: (looks at me) Wait lang. (turns to the man) Sa’ng bayan nga po kayo sa Iloilo??

Man: sa…. Jaro nga…

Me: Excuse me kuya, yung Jaro nga po nasa Ilo—–

Officer: Wait lang, kinakausap ko pa sya.

Man: Basta nasa Jaro…Iloilo City.

Officer: Ayun! Iloilo City lang pala!

Officer: (turns to me) Ano ulit sasabihin niyo kuya?

Me: Wala, sasabihin ko sana nasa Iloilo City ang Jaro. (pfft!)

Woman after me: Ayaw mo kasi makinig.

Haha! Time is running. Register now!

P.S. This is my very 1st official blog post on this new blog and on wordpress. *fireworks!*
